Ten years after facing loss in the Fourth Holy Grail War, Waver Velvet is now known as Lord El Melloi II and teaches classes at the prestigious Clock Tower academy for magicians. However, his new title as "Lord" comes with a condition: he must follow the directives of Reines, the younger sibling of the late Kayneth El Melloi, until she is old enough to take over the El Melloi House. With the help of his mysterious apprentice Gray, Waver takes on a series of tasks assigned by the Mages Association and Reines. As each mission proves to be more complicated than the last, it begs the question if there are hidden aspects to the Clock Tower and what secrets Reines may be keeping.
